50rpm

50rpm is a not for profit community music collective set up to put on live music in the town of Coatbridge. We are run and funded by our members. We work within our mean, being funded solely by our membership fees and ticket sales. We believe we pay acts fairly, offering a guarentee and topping that up with income from the sale of public tickets. There is no magic money tree, so if we can't afford you, we won't book you. The acts that come and play at 50rpm do so over and over again because 50rpm is a special place. They tell others about our truly unique audience, the fantastic sound and our whole ethios. They get what we do. They see our value and we see theirs. We are a place for music lovers run by music lovers for artists that love what they do.

If you are wishing to play at 50rpm, there are a few things that you should be aware of:

We are a not for profit organisation set up to bring and promote live music in the town of Coatbridge. We have 50 members who run and fund what we do. Our members pay an annual membership and in return get entry to the gigs we put on. Our main venue is located in the Georgian Hotel in Coatbridge and is a 75 seated capacity. We have 25 public tickets available for sale to the general public for gigs held in this room. The room is located upstairs, so is not suitable for those in a wheelchair or with walking difficulties.

We also have access to a larger room within the hotel, which has a seated capacity of up to 180. This room has disabled access and toilets.

WHAT WE DO:
1: We provide an in-house PA and sound engineer.
2: We provide stage lighting.
3: We provide a free merch area.
4: We provide a ready made audience of receptive music lovers.
5: We pay a fair fee relative to our capacity.

WHAT WE DO NOT DO:
1: We do not book cover acts, tribute acts, cabaret acts or those using backing tapes. 2: We do not do riders or buy-outs.
3: We do not do guest lists. We don't have the capacity to give away free tickets.
4: We do not take any crap. You want to be an arseh*le, do it somewhere else.
5: We do not book anyone who holds far-right, racist, sexist or sectarian views.
6: We do not provide any backline.
